FT.com / Food & Drink – The taste test: cupcakes

We were asked at Love bakery a few weeks ago to enter a cup cake taste testing panel for the new relaunched Financial Times weekend Magazine, we had no idea who we were up against !

So we sent in what we thought would fare best, our signature red velvet, our Hickory dickory choc Β topped with home madebrownie and filled with chocolate Ganache, and lastly but by no means least the rhubarb and custard with a ginger snap crumble, filled with tangy rhubarb and topped with a rich custard icing and crushed ginger snap.

We finally heard the result, and out of 11 bakeries we won !! Fabulous, I won’t ramble any further and let you read the article yourself, but we are very proud of what our little bakery achieved up against the big guns πŸ™‚
